These Terms explain the basis on which Fluntro (“we”, “us”, “our”) offers three products: the online EXIF metadata viewer at exifviewerapp.com/online-exif-metadata-viewer (the “Tool”), the EXIF Viewer by Fluntro extension for Google Chrome (the “Extension”), and the EXIF Viewer for Google Drive integration at exifviewerapp.com/drive (the “Drive Integration”) — together, the “Web Products.” By using any Web Product, you agree to these Terms. Our iOS app has its own listing and terms on the App Store, and is not covered here.

In short: the Web Products are free, read-only metadata viewers with no account and nothing stored. Use them at your own risk — we make no promise that every file's metadata is read completely or correctly, because that depends on how the file was written before it ever reached us. What the Web Products do

The Tool, the Extension, and the Drive Integration read metadata already embedded in a photo file — camera and lens information, exposure settings, date and time, and GPS location if present — and display it to you. All three are read-only: none of them writes, strips, or otherwise modifies your photos.

Your photos, your responsibility

You are solely responsible for the files you open with any Web Product and for having the right to view their metadata. Each Web Product processes files locally — on your own device or in your own browser, as described in our Privacy Policy — and we have no visibility into what you open. Do not use the Web Products with files you do not have the right to access.

No account, nothing stored

None of the Web Products require an account. Nothing about your files is stored by us — see the Privacy Policy for exactly what each product does and does not retain. Because there is no account and nothing stored, there is nothing for these Terms to grant you continued access to beyond the software itself.

The Chrome extension

The Extension is provided through the Chrome Web Store and is additionally subject to Google's own Chrome Web Store terms for the account you use to install it. Site access it requests (to read an image you right-click on a web page) is scoped per-site and requested only at the moment you ask for it — never granted broadly on install.

The Google Drive integration

If you use the Drive Integration, you separately agree to Google's Terms of Service for your use of Google Drive and the Google APIs involved. The Drive Integration requests only the drive.file OAuth scope, which limits its access to files you explicitly open or select with it — see the Privacy Policy for the full detail. You can revoke this access at any time from your Google Account's permissions page.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

use a Web Product to process a file you do not have the legal right to access;
attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or interfere with a Web Product beyond what any open-source licence covering a component of it permits (see “Third-party components” below);
use the Drive Integration in a way that violates Google's API Terms of Service or attempts to exceed the access granted by the drive.file scope.

No warranty

The Web Products are provided “as is,” without warranty of any kind, express or implied. Metadata extraction depends entirely on how a photo's file was written by its camera, its editing software, or a platform it passed through before you opened it — we do not control this and cannot guarantee every file's metadata is read completely or accurately. Two cases worth knowing about specifically:

an empty or incomplete result usually means a prior platform — a messaging app, a social network, or an image CDN — stripped the metadata before you ever saw the file, not that a Web Product failed to read it;
a damaged or truncated file may produce partial or incorrect readings, which we attempt to flag on screen rather than present as complete.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Fluntro is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, arising from your use of a Web Product. Because the Web Products do not transmit or store your photos, the practical exposure here is limited — this section states the legal position regardless.

Third-party components

The Web Products include third-party software under its own licence. In particular, EXIF parsing uses ExifReader, licensed under the Mozilla Public License 2.0; the Extension and the Drive Integration each ship the required licence text and notices alongside the software. Nothing in these Terms overrides the terms of any open-source licence that applies to a component of a Web Product.

Changes to the Web Products or these Terms

We may update a Web Product or these Terms at any time. The “last updated” date above always reflects the current version. Continued use of a Web Product after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

Termination

You may stop using any Web Product at any time — by closing the browser tab, uninstalling the Extension, or revoking the Drive Integration's access from your Google Account. Because nothing is stored about you, there is no account to close and no data to request deletion of.
