How do I check a camera's shutter count from a photo?
Ask the seller for an unedited JPEG straight from the camera, transfer it to your iPhone (AirDrop or a cloud link — not WhatsApp), and open it in EXIF Viewer. Nikon, Pentax and many Sony and Canon models store the shutter count in the maker notes.
Why does the lens show as 'unknown'?
Manual or adapted lenses don't communicate with the body, so no lens data is recorded. Some older lenses report only an ID that the app translates when known.
